Summary

Nursery Room Leader

Location: Dulwich, London

Salary: £33,800 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, flexible working options available)

Completely Care is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded early years provider for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join a supportive nursery team in Dulwich.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and lead a room where children are encouraged to learn, explore and develop in a safe and nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment, supporting a team of practitioners and ensuring children receive exceptional standards of care and education.

If you are a Level 3 qualified practitioner with leadership experience or a Nursery Practitioner ready to progress into a Room Leader position, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will:

Lead and maintain a high-quality learning environment within your allocated room.

Support, guide and mentor a team of Early Years Practitioners.

Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage children's learning and development.

Build positive and trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Complete observations and contribute to children's learning journeys.

Ensure all records, safeguarding procedures and room standards are maintained.

Promote children's independence, confidence and curiosity through play-based learning.

Work in line with the EYFS framework and support excellent early years practice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent.

Previous experience working within an early years setting.

Experience leading or supporting a nursery room/team is desirable.

A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A caring, enthusiastic and reliable approach.

A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing.
