Summary

We are looking for an adaptable and enthusiastic individual to join our small, friendly, Care of the Elderly team. You will support with coordination and scheduling of predominantly outpatient pathways and provide administrative support to our team of Consultants.
Reporting to the Service Manager for Care of the Elderly, you will work closely with all members of the Care of the Elderly team to support the administration and scheduling of outpatient activity for the Care of the Elderly Service. A flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills are essential in addition to high standards of customer service.
You will be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to a patient’s care pathway, tracking and supporting patients from referral to treatment &/or discharge.
The role will require some patient-facing activity, and you will also be expected to manage and support queries from patients, clinicians and fellow staff. Excellent telephone skills and good IT proficiency will also be essential in helping with day-to-day duties. The role requires the postholder to be able to work flexibly at either hospital site
