Summary
Snapdragons Horfield are seeking a 1:1 to join their fantastic team!
Role
To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the child to whom you are assigned, to enable him / her to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them. Work with child’s parents, SENCo and other professionals about targeted outcome plans for the child, contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Identify and adopt the most effective learning approaches for children with SEN.
Monitor learning activities to meet the needs of children with SEN.
Identify and teach skills that will develop children's ability to work independently.
Liaise with other settings to ensure continuity of support and learning when transferring children with SEN.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS
Aged 16 / 18 or over
Ability to engage with colleagues and parents
A willingness to undertake relevant further training as and when required
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to engage and interact positively with children
Able to follow instructions and work using own initiative as necessary
Reliable, responsible, trustworthy and motivated
Commitment to safeguarding children at all times
