Summary

SEND Teaching Assistant – Day-to-day supply across Faringdon and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in mainstream and specialist provisions, helping to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

Support pupils with SEND in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals
Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated activities
Provide one-to-one and small group support as required
Help manage behaviour and promote positive social interactions
Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs)
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

Relevant experience supporting children with SEND in school settings
Understanding of a range of special educational needs and strategies to support them
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Ability to work flexibly across different schools and age groups
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
A positive, proactive, and patient approach to supporting pupils
