Position: Retail Security OfficerLocation: B&Q StoreShift Pattern: Wednesday - SundayHours: 45 hours per week (overtime included)Pay Rate: £12.91 per hour
Annual Salary: Approximately £30,270 per year (based on 45 hours per week at £12.91 per hour, before any additional overtime payments)
We are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Retail Security Officer to join our team at B&Q. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a leading security team, providing a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
-Providing a visible security presence within the store
-Preventing and deterring theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour
-Carrying out regular patrols and security checks
-Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies
-Monitoring CCTV and reporting suspicious activity
-Supporting store colleagues and customers when required
-Completing accurate incident reports and maintaining security records
-Working closely with the store management team

Requirements:
-Valid SIA Security Licence
-Previous retail security experience preferred but not essential
-Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Professional approach with strong attention to detail
-Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging situations
-Reliable and flexible attitude towards work
