Summary

Job Title: Mechanical Line Maintenance Engineer

Location: Hull area

Pay Range: £39 – 40k plus overtime, OTE £45K+ and a comprehensive package and excellent pension

Contract Type: Permanent

Working 7 12-hour shifts over 14 days, lots of time off! This could help facilitate your relocation to the Hull area and offer opportunities for training, development & overtime.

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Line Maintenance Engineer - Shifts

• Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production. You are a reactive, production-focused engineer.

• Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault-finding and maintenance of process and packaging equipment.

• Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum

• You'll work with conveyor systems, materials handling, automated packaging, and material processing

• Leading mechanical repair and working with a CMMS

• Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes

• Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance

• Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated

• Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls

Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Line Maintenance Engineer - Shifts

• Apprentice trained or NVQ level 2 or 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering

• Manufacturing Industry experience: heavy, medium or FMCG environments considered.

• Routine Preventive Maintenance, to understand a PPM schedule

• Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively

• A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
