Our client is a highly regarded independent restaurant in the heart of Falmouth, known for its vibrant menus, exceptional local produce, and strong team culture. They are seeking a talented
Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef to join their kitchen leadership team and play a key role in delivering outstanding food and service.
Working closely with the Head Chef and existing Sous Chef, you will help lead a busy kitchen, support menu development, maintain high standards, and inspire the team around you.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
• Assist with menu development and food costing
• Monitor stock, food costs, and waste control
• Maintain exceptional food quality and consistency
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
• Train and develop junior team members
About You
• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Experience in a quality-led, fast-paced kitchen
• Knowledge of menu costing, stock control, and waste management
• Passion for fresh food and high standards
• Calm, organised, and positive under pressure
