Summary

About the role:

The Parenting Worker role provides flexible, high-quality parenting support across Powys, working both directly with families and alongside professionals. The postholder will deliver responsive support to families referred through targeted pathways, whilst also contributing to early help, prevention, and wider parenting support initiatives.

The role is designed to adapt to demand, balancing direct casework with group delivery, workforce support, and development of accessible parenting resources.

About you:

You will be organised, flexible and able to manage competing demands. You will be confident working independently across a large geographical area, whilst maintaining strong links with colleagues, partner agencies and the wider Parenting Team to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.

What you will do:

Deliver targeted parenting support to referred families

Work in a trauma-informed, strengths-based way

Complete reports and record outcomes

This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
