Summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the Engineering team at our Leicester site. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical or electrical engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment, maintaining a range of processing and production equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and inspections across shredders, conveyors and rotating plant to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. There will also be occasions where travel to other Leicester sites is required.

Key Responsibilities:

. Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance on shredders, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings and other rotating equipment.

. Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with maintenance schedules.

. Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs.

. Perform routine inspections, lubrication, belt tracking, chain adjustments and component replacements.

. Record completed maintenance activities accurately using the company's maintenance management system.

. Identify and report equipment defects or potential failures.

. Support planned shutdowns, overhauls and maintenance projects.

. Maintain high housekeeping standards within engineering work areas.

. Work safely in line with company health and safety procedures, permit systems and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) requirements.

. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and engineering standards, including PUWER and LOLER where applicable.
