Summary

Job Title: Paint polish and prep

Location: Coventry, CV3

Pay Rate: Circa £15.60 per hour

Working Hours:

    • Monday to Wednesday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

    • Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm

    Are you an experienced Automotive Paint Polisher with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing flawless finishes?

    We are recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised manufacturer renowned for producing high-performance components for the automotive, motorsport and defence sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled production team where quality and precision are at the heart of everything they do. As an Automotive Paint Polisher, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional cosmetic finishes on painted components, ensuring every part meets the highest quality standards before leaving the production facility.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Polish painted automotive components to achieve a high-quality, defect-free finish.

      • Remove paint imperfections including dust nibs, orange peel, light scratches and swirl marks.

      • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet strict quality standards.

      • Operate polishing equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.

      • Work closely with production and quality teams to meet daily production targets.

      • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

      • Report any defects or quality concerns to the relevant supervisor.

      What We're Looking For

        • Previous experience as an Automotive Paint Polisher, Vehicle Polisher or Smart Repair Technician.

        • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

        • Experience using polishing compounds, machines and finishing equipment.

        • Ability to identify paint defects and carry out corrective polishing.

        • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.

        • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing or bodyshop environment.
