Summary

We are seeking an HGV Technician to join a reputable rental company based in Andover. Our client, one of the UK’s leading automotive groups, is looking for a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to support their expanding fleet of HGVs, LCVs, and Motorhomes. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians seeking a stable, rewarding role within a dynamic team environment.

Duties as a HGV Technician will include:

- Service and maintain HGVs, LCVs, and Motorhomes in line with manufacturer standards

- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults

- Conduct warranty-approved repairs according to brand guidelines

- Perform Department of Transport (MOT) testing where qualified

- Complete job cards and electronic write-ups on franchise platforms

- Carry out electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs)

- Assist and mentor Apprentice Technicians as required

- Maintain high standards of quality and safety within a busy workshop environment

Requirements:

- NVQ Level 3 or IMI equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or similar

- Several years’ post-qualification experience in commercial vehicle service and repair

- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems

- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload

- A proactive approach and team-oriented attitude

- An active HGV driving license is highly advantageous but not essential

- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting targets
