The Role:

Reporting to the Resource Impact Assessment (RIA) Manager, the Senior Business Analyst (Accountant) will be responsible for the management of Business Analysts (Accountants) to ensure that they develop and produce resource impact assessments that highlight the consequences of implementing NICE guidance. The post holder will be responsible for quality assuring a portfolio of tools developed by their staff and ensuring that the outputs are timely and of good quality.

The post holder will also be responsible for completing budget impact tests (BITs) and leading on the BIT discussions on behalf of the RIA team with key stakeholders such as NHS England, companies and the Medicines Evaluation Directorate.

To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with:

•    A CCAB or CIMA qualification 

•    Experience of funding mechanisms within the healthcare or social care system

•    The ability to engage effectively with a range of external organisations and individuals on complex, contentious or sensitive issues

•    Experience of managing a portfolio of projects involving multidisciplinary teams, and delivering them on time and to a high quality.

•    The ability to exercise judgement across a broad spectrum of sensitive issues.

 

TheFinance, Corporate and Commercial teamis responsible for providing a range of services that enables NICE to deliver its remit in compliance with public sector rules and regulations, and to meet its financial and governance obligations, ensuring optimal funding and commercial decisions and outcomes, good risk management and robust information governance.

The Resource Impact Assessment (RIA)team produces tools supporting published guidance and standards which help users make informed decisions regarding the funding and capacity requirement needed at a local level. The tools help users to translate guidance and make practical, cost‑aware decisions - supporting the NHS to plan effectively and allocate resources efficiently.
