Senior Façade Engineer

Are you an experienced Façade Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a respected specialist consultancy?

We're working with a well-established façade engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Façade Engineer to join its growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects across the commercial, residential, mixed-use and refurbishment sectors.

You'll play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects from concept through to completion, working closely with architects, developers and contractors while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities

Lead façade engineering projects through all RIBA design stages.

Prepare façade specifications, technical reports and design documentation.

Carry out façade design reviews and technical assessments.

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors and clients.

Attend design team meetings and site inspections.

Review contractor submissions and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

5+ years' experience within a UK façade consultancy.

Strong technical knowledge of façade systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing and lightweight façades.

Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, CWCT guidance and relevant British and European Standards.

Experience producing façade specifications and technical reports.

Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Degree qualified in Engineering, Façade Engineering or a related discipline.

Membership of the Society of Façade Engineering (or working towards Chartership) would be advantageous.
