Summary

We are looking for a personal assistant for our client who is a happy, friendly and energetic young boy with autism, who loves Spider-man and spending his time going out and about.

You will be supporting our client to get out of the house and enjoy his time outside of school. This might be going to parks, out for walks, or anything else you might think of. Spending time in his home at first to build the relationship will be a key part of this role. There may be some minimal personal care attached to this role.

Being patient, kind and understanding would be ideal to support our client in his activities. Our client has little sense of danger and no road sense so someone who is observant and has a good level of fitness would also be ideal. Our client isn’t fond of loud and busy places and might become upset. Our client has emergency medication for epilepsy and training will be given.

Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
