Join our NPD Team at The Compleat Food Group!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Specifications Technologist to join our dynamic NPD team in Bristol
on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring all customer specifications, pack copy, artwork, and associated
documentation are delivered accurately, compliantly, and within agreed timescales. Uou will play a critical role in supporting
successful product launches, driving standards, and ensuring all critical path milestones and customer deadlines are consistently
achieved.

Working Hours:
This is a Hybrid role and the working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Key Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Creation of the customer specification plan to ensure that all customer requirements are completed within agreed time frame.
* Set up, for approval, all external customer specifications or relevant technical information in accordance with customer
specification requirements.
* Ensure compliance with updated customer technical policies, current labelling standards and include all regulatory changes that
will impact back of pack information.
* Follow relevant process development procedures, ensuring these are documented correctly and are compliant with internal and
customer standards.
* Reviewing raw material specification content to develop gold standard specifications for each raw material/category.
* Validation of specifications and processes to identify synergies and scope for consolidation through an improvement process.
* Work closely with raw material suppliers and internal teams to agree quality parameters of raw materials, which supports
appropriate checks at intake to ensure compliance.
* Communication with all relevant internal departments and external parties to ensure that specification compliance is achieved.
* Lead the specification team to ensure that a lean enterprise culture is established, and all colleagues are performing to their
potential.
* Ensure that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set
out in the Health Safety and Environment policy
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Educated to Higher National Diploma (HND) level or holds an equivalent qualification
* Holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene and Level 2 Health and Safety certification
* Demonstratable basic Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) awareness
* Good level of knowledge around computer systems
* Knowledge and experience of using web-based customer specification systems
* Detailed knowledge and experience of writing specifications for retailers in food manufacturing environment
* Knowledge and experience of legal labelling and legislation and application
