Summary
Our client, a highly regarded educational institution in Sutton, London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the chance to work alongside our talented team of educators, therapists, and support staff. Situated in the heart of Sutton, London, our client provides a nurturing and enriching learning experience for students with a wide range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of personalised educational programmes, assisting students with their daily routines and activities, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to, providing one-on-one or small group support, implementing behaviour management strategies, and collaborating with the teaching staff to ensure the academic and social-emotional needs of each student are met.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners and has a strong commitment to supporting students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will have previous experience working with SEN students, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to contribute to the growth and development of each child in our care.

- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs

- Facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities to promote academic, social, and emotional development
- Support students with daily routines and personal care tasks, as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the holistic needs of each student are met
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and support
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with special educational needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the students
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity in the classroom
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN, teaching, or child development (desirable)
