Our client, a reputable family-run car dealership located in Bexleyheath, Greater London, is looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated workshop team. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
- Conduct routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
- Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify safety or maintenance issues
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Ensure all work is carried out to high standards and within specified timescales
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members, if applicable
- Possibility to obtain MOT testing certification (training provided)
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role
- Level 2 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in light vehicle mechanics
- Strong mechanical skills and technical knowledge
- Valid UK driver’s licence
- Preferably MOT trained or willing to obtain certification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
