Summary

Tower Hamlets(TH)Children and Adolescent Mental Healthservice(CAMHS)is an innovative and supportive service which consists ofa number ofcare pathways which includes ourTriageteam.

The postholderwill provide leadership andspecialist service within Tower HamletsCAMHSto young people and their families. This is a community-based post,locatedwithin theTriageteaminTHCAMHSwhich offerTriageand screeningfora wide variety of clinical presentations which meet our THCAMHS criteria.

The post holder willalsocontribute to the ongoing development and management of theTriageteam,andthis is likely to includeopportunities to contributeto change and developments in theTriageteam and wider service.The post holder will also lead and hold oversight for the service wide assessment clinics and the interface between triage and duty in the service.The postholderwill alsoprovideclinical interventions,specialist supervision, consultation,and training.asrequired.The post holderwillhold accountabilityfor clinical decision makingandthemanagement of clinical riskin the Triageteamand manage theassessmentclinics and the interface between triage and dutywithin the service.

The post-holder willleadinnovative developments in managing wait times,triagemodels,as well as providing supervision and leadership to other members of the Triageteam. The role will involveworking with other service leads and Senior Leadership team to develop and sustainrelationships withour local voluntary and third sector agencies and contributing to a culture of collaborative practice, in line with THCAMHS clinical strategy and partnership working across TH.

The post holder will provide highly specialisedknowledge and skills to ateam of clinicians carrying out screenings withinthe Triage team. The post holder willdemonstrateleadership and management skills that will contributeto the positive working environmentand culturewithintheteamand wider service and in line with Trust values. The post holder willcontribute to providing clinical care toyoung people with a wide range of mental health difficulties.The post holder will also be expected to plan andprioritisetheirworkloadand exercise autonomous professional responsibility forclinical,managementand leadership tasks includingmanagement of risks. They will work independently withinappropriate clinical/professionalguidelines and clinical governance. Theclinical work willalsoinclude the provision ofspecialist advice/consultation, mental health assessment, clinical intervention, liaison with other agencies and support, supervision and teaching of staff and/or students/trainees.
