Summary
A Vacancy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Thesuccessfulcandidate willbecomeavaluedmemberofthegynaecologyandminimal access team.Theywillhave a vital role in the endometriosis service,attending endometriosis outpatientclinics; regular tertiaryendometriosis theatrelists (laparoscopicand robotic);and theendometriosis jointMDT. The successfulcandidatewillworkcloselywiththeendometriosisspecialistnurseincoordinatingtheMDT,managingthewaitinglistsandworkingcooperativelywiththemultidisciplinaryteamforcomplexcases.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhaveampleopportunitytodevelopandlearnintheirclinicalrolefocused onminimalaccesstechniquesandendometriosis.Aspartoftheirrolethesuccessfulcandidatewillbe expectedtobeinvolvedinongoingauditofcomplexminimalaccesscasesandoutcomes,includingthe BSGEendometriosisdatabaseandprospectivedatacollectiononroboticsurgeryandoutcomes.
Inadditiontotheirclinicalrolethesuccessfulcandidatewillbeexpectedtobeactivelyinvolvedintheorganisationand coordination ofthemultipleminimalaccesstrainingcoursesrun within thedepartment.They will perform this role in close collaboration with existing faculty. Prior experience in medical educationandtrainingprovisionisstronglydesiredas wellasanopenandenthusiasticpersonalitytobringthebest out of delegatesas wellas workingwithmedicalindustryto providesupport.Surgical videos(laparoscopic,roboticandopen)play alarge role inexisting training.The successful candidate will play anactiveroleinrecordingandeditingneweducationalvideosforspecificprocedures/describetechniquesto continue the development of a video library. It is anticipated that much of this output may bepublishableinpeerreviewed journalsorpresentationat conferencesandthe successful candidate willbecredited with authorship accordingly.

· Attendingclinicsinbenigngynaecology.
· Gainingthetechnicalskillsaslistedabove.
· Participationontheon-callrotaforobstetricsandgynaecology.
§Management
· Participationinauditandgovernanceactivitiesoftheservice.
· Beresponsibleforrecordingrelevantsurgicalactivity,performauditsandreports.
· ManageandengagewiththeBSGEendometriosisdatabaseandproduceanannualsurgical video for accreditation.
· CoordinateandenacttherecommendationsofthejointendometriosisMDTtogetherwith the endometriosis specialist nurse.
· Engageintheeducationofotherjuniordoctors,nursingstaffandothercolleagues.
§Academic
· Submissionofabstractsforpresentationatrelevantconferencesthroughouttheyear.
· Participateinexistingclinicalresearch,activelyrecruitparticipantsandbeinvolvedin developing future studies.
· Coordinateandorganiseminimalaccesstrainingcoursestogetherwithexistingfaculty.
