Location: Old Trafford, Manchester

Contract: Temporary

Full time/Part time: Full-time

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Pay: £102 - £115 per day (depending on experience)

Start date: September 2026

Expected End date: End of the 2026/27 academic year (long-term ongoing)

A welcoming and specialist SEN school in Old Trafford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with a strong passion for supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties within a specialist education setting.

You will provide dedicated support to pupils with PMLD, complex learning needs, and additional physical and medical needs. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider support team, you will help create a nurturing, engaging, and accessible learning environment where every pupil is supported to achieve their individual goals.

The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting pupils with communication, mobility, personal care, sensory development, and learning activities. A patient, caring, and adaptable approach is essential to help pupils build confidence, independence, and meaningful relationships.
