Summary
We are looking for a Yard Operative on behalf of a busy client in Walsall.
RESPONSIBILITIES
. Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the yard, storage areas, and workshop facilities.
. Load and unload materials, tools, machinery, and equipment safely and efficiently.
. Prepare materials and equipment for landscaping and facilities maintenance teams before daily deployment.
. Carry out routine checks on tools, vehicles, and machinery, reporting defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
. Operate yard equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, pressure washers, and compact machinery where authorised and trained.
. Manage stock levels of supplies, fuels, PPE, and consumables, ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained.
. Assist with waste management and recycling procedures in line with environmental and company policies.
. Ensure all deliveries are checked, signed for, and stored correctly within designated areas.
. Support site teams by assembling orders, preparing plant equipment, and arranging deliveries to operational sites.
. Conduct basic grounds and yard maintenance including sweeping, pressure washing, vegetation control, and keeping access routes clear.

06:30am - 15:30pm
Pay Rate
£15.00ph
