Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Team, as an Assistant Medical Secretary within the Respiratory Department based at York Hospital.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our busy team to provide secretarial support to the Respiratory Consultants and the wider clinical teams.

Excellent administration/secretarial skills and audio-typing experience/qualifications are required. Together with demonstrable  customer service skills and experience. 

You will be responsible for typing clinical and administrative letters, answering telephone enquiries from patients, GPs and colleagues from within the Trust from various staffing groups.

The successful candidate will be required to have good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise the demands of a busy office and manage their time and workload effectively.
