Summary
A delightful family based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, is seeking an exceptional nanny to join their household on a fixed-term basis from mid-August 2026 until the end of June 2027.
This position is to provide maternity cover for their much-loved current nanny and offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a warm, welcoming family.
The successful candidate will provide attentive care and support for three delightful boys aged 10, 6, and 4, while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the household. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideally suited to an experienced childcare professional who is organised, proactive, energetic, and genuinely passionate about supporting children and family life.
During term time, all three children attend school, allowing time to focus on family support responsibilities before the afternoon routine begins.
Across the period, the hours of the role will be:
• Term Time (36 weeks):
o Mon – 07.30-09.30, returning at 15.00-20.00
o Tue – 07.30-09.30, returning at 15.00-17.00
o Thu – 07.30-09.30, returning at 15.00-20.00
There will be an additional paid two hours each day to help keep the children organised – laundry, keeping their bedrooms/playroom organised, meal prep, etc. These hours can be added to either session to suit the nanny
o Total: 24 hours/week
• School Holidays (10 weeks):
o Mon – 07.30-20.00
o Tue – 07.30-17.00
o Thu – 07.30-20.00
o Total: 34.5 hours/week
Salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments throughout the duration of the contract. Additional babysitting and occasional extra hours may be available by mutual agreement and will be paid separately.
School holidays offer the opportunity to create engaging and memorable experiences for the children. The family would love a nanny who enjoys planning a balance of educational outings, outdoor adventures, local attractions, creative activities, and play opportunities, while encouraging the children’s independence, confidence, and social development. The boys are active and energetic and love all sports such as football, cricket, golf, skatepark, etc.
Alongside providing exceptional childcare, your responsibilities will include:
• Collecting the children from school and nursery and transporting them safely to clubs, activities, and appointments.
• Managing the children’s laundry and ironing.
• Keeping the children’s bedrooms, play spaces, wardrobes, and belongings organised and well maintained.
• Preparing school uniforms, sports kits, bags, and everything required for the following day.
• Supporting homework and fostering positive routines and good habits.
• Preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for the children. The boys love food!
• Assisting with the general organisation of the family home, including keeping communal areas tidy, unloading the dishwasher, and putting away shopping.
The family employs a weekly cleaner, therefore this is not a housekeeping position. However, a nanny who takes pride in maintaining an organised home environment and is happy to assist with everyday family tasks will be highly valued.
At the end of each day, you will oversee the children’s evening routine, including bath time where appropriate, ensuring they are settled and that their bedrooms and play areas are left tidy and organised before handing over to the parents.
A confident and experienced driver with a full, clean driving licence and access to a fully insured vehicle is essential. Mileage incurred during working hours will be reimbursed.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional nanny seeking a fulfilling role with a lovely family who truly value the support and expertise of an experienced childcare professional.
If you are dedicated, nurturing, and take pride in delivering exceptional childcare while contributing positively to family life, please apply below.
