Summary
The Best Connection are seeking to recruit an experienced FLT / Warehouse Operative to work with our client based in YO26.
The site is conveniently located and offers excellent access from York, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Boroughbridge, Wetherby and the surrounding areas. Our client is a successful and growing logistics service provider operating across Healthcare, E-commerce, Marketing & Events. As part of a global healthcare logistics network, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional service while supporting patient care.
The Role:
- Receiving deliveries and checking goods for damage or missing items.
- Safely storing stock within the warehouse.
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
- Operating a Forklift Truck to move stock throughout the warehouse.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Completing stock counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Updating stock information using computerised systems.
- Assisting with deliveries, stock transfers and product refurbishment.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
- Following Health & Safety, manual handling and environmental procedures at all times.
- Supporting the warehouse team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
The Candidate:
- Holds a valid FLT Licence (essential).
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to support the wider warehouse operation.
Hours of Work:
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility required to meet business needs.
