Summary
Maintenance Technician
Type: Contract Days £17.33 including shift allowance (6am - 2pm /2pm- 10pm)
Travel Requirement: Ideally live within 1 hour of depot

Your Role & Impact
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repair on Class 185 train units to meet production schedules
- Replacing all interiors
- Conduct fault diagnosis, including fault downloads and basic troubleshooting
- Operate depot driving within site limits
- Source, order, and retrieve necessary spares and materials
- Support with rolling stock cleaning and upkeep
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and share best practices with peers
What You Bring
- Background in mechanical fault-finding and repairs (on heavy rolling stock, vehicles, or machinery)
- Competency in using laptops for diagnostic testing and mechanical diagnostics
- Experience with documenting maintenance activities and following technical procedures
- Understanding of tools, PPE care, H&S, biohazards, manual handling, and COSHH
- Ability to interpret engineering and maintenance manuals
