The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced Saw Operative on behalf of our well-established client based in Rowley Regis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing manufacturing business, offering ongoing work, stable hours, and the potential to secure a permanent contract following a successful trial period.

Pay Rate
£12.71 per hour
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
08:00 - 17:00
No weekend working required.
The Role
As a Saw Operative, you will play a key role within the production team, ensuring timber is measured, cut and prepared accurately to meet customer specifications and production requirements.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity while supporting the smooth operation of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Crossbody Saw safely and efficiently
- Measuring and cutting timber to precise specifications
- Palletising finished timber products ready for dispatch or the next stage of production
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures
- Supporting daily production targets and operational requirements
✅ Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Previous experience operating a Crossbody Saw
- Confidence working with timber and wood products
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- A strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety practices
- Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling duties
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent reliability, punctuality and attendance
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
