The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving plant machinery and equipment across a busy heavy industry site. You will work as part of the engineering team to reduce downtime, support production and ensure equipment is operating safely and reliably.
Duties Will Include
Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery
Responding quickly to breakdowns and machinery faults
Working with hydraulics and pneumatics systems
Completing planned preventative maintenance tasks
Fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
Skills and Experience Required
Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Experience working within heavy industry is essential
Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance knowledge
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to fault find and repair machinery in a fast-paced environment
Confident working on both planned and reactive maintenance
Flexible approach to working rotating days and nights
Shift Pattern
The role is working on a 4 on 3 off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights.
