Summary

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a nationally renowned accident repair specialist for a talented Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their team in Motherwell, Lanarkshire.

Benefits of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:

- Basic salary c. £42,000

- OTE up to £48,000

- Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 (30-minute break)

- 30 days holiday

- Ongoing training

Duties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:

- Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the full extent of damage, repair costs and repair timeframes

- Use Audatex competently to produce accurate estimates

- Identify the correct prescribed repair method and prepare, record and maintain electronic and manual estimate records

- Liaise effectively with insurance companies to support smooth repair authorisation and progression

- Work closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure Technicians understand repair methodology and documentation requirements

- Maintain accurate job documentation to support audit and quality standards

Requirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

- Significant previous experience in a VDA/Estimator role

- Confidence using Audatex

- NVQ and/or ATA qualification (ATA accreditation desirable)

- Ability to meet tight deadlines

- High attention to detail

- Full UK driving licence
