Summary

A Vacancy at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

This post is suitable for doctors with experience of ST4+ in Emergency Medicine looking to further develop their clinical and leadership skills, alongside gaining experience in education provision to post-graduate clinicians as well as the opportunity to gain additional education qualifications. A suitable applicant will have significant experience in Emergency Medicine to be able to work at a senior clinical level working independently as a senior decision maker, lead the department overnight, and support our junior staff with support and education. This role will have time allocated to create and deliver education to our staff in Emergency Medicine.

• To provide a high standard of care to patients for whom you have clinical responsibility within the Emergency Medical Department.

• To participate in clinical and service developments with the aim of ensuring a high standard of patient care across the trust.

• To participate in departmental audits and be involved in implementation of change.

• To actively engage with undergraduate tuition

• To create and deliver post-graduate teaching.

• To ensure you actively practice reflection.

• To maintain an up to date portfolio, including documenting Continuous Professional Development.

• To respond promptly to complaints related to patient care.

• To ensure, at all times, that you comply with the General Medical Council’s Guide; Good Medical Practice.
