Summary
To provide high-quality, safe and effective medical services to the practice population whilst working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary primary care team. Conduct patient consultations, examinations and assessments. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses. Develop and review patient management and treatment plans. Safely prescribe and review medications in accordance with local and national guidance. Provide health promotion and preventative care. Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other healthcare professionals. Maintain clear, accurate and contemporaneous patient records. Participate in practice meetings, clinical audits and quality improvement activities. Support achievement of QOF and enhanced service objectives. Work collaboratively with all members of the practice team. Comply with GMC guidance, NHS regulations and practice policies. Undertake all duties normally associated with a GP working within primary care.
