Summary

This warm and welcoming family of three, based in the leafy and highly sought-after area straddling Highgate and East Finchley, are seeking an experienced, conscientious, and highly skilled Housekeeper to join their household. With a young child of eighteen months and a full-time Nanny already part of the household team, the family are looking for someone self-motivated, discreet, and meticulous, who takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional standard of care to a beautiful family home.

Working as a private Housekeeper in a household of this calibre means far more than routine cleaning — it calls for a thoughtful, knowledgeable approach to caring for a high-end property, including the careful treatment of delicate surfaces and fine furnishings, alongside daily food preparation, laundry care, and general household management. The successful candidate will take genuine ownership of the home, working independently and proactively to anticipate the family's needs.

The Duties:

High-standard cleaning throughout a five-bedroom, five-bathroom property across two floors, including wood and polished concrete flooring

External cleaning of windows, including a number of floor-to-ceiling windows

Tidying outdoor areas between gardener visits, including light weeding, leaf collection, and seasonal watering

Washing and ironing, including handwashing of delicate items

Wardrobe and closet organisation

Daily preparation of salads, sides, and main protein for the family to cook, plus occasional stews (no formal menu planning required)

Management of grocery and household stock, including online and app-based shopping

Weekly fresh flower arranging

Occasional errands, such as the dry cleaner, tailor, or post office

Specialist Skills: Excellent knowledge of treating and caring for delicate surfaces and furniture; meticulous attention to detail; highly self-motivated and proactive working style; excellent communication skills; discreet and conscientious approach.
