Warehouse SupervisorLocation: Near Grantham / Newark Area (NG13)Salary: £35,000 per annumJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: Monday to Friday, typically 45 hours per week (maximum 50 hours)Holiday: 23 Days + PensionWorkchain is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy and well-established transport and logistics operation in the NG13 area.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional with supervisory experience to play a key role in driving operational efficiency within a fast-paced distribution environment.The RoleYou will work closely with management to oversee daily warehouse operations, supervise warehouse staff, and ensure freight is processed safely, efficiently, and on time.The operation handles high volumes of palletised freight each day, with responsibilities including vehicle loading and unloading, container devanning, freight preparation, and general warehouse operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support the warehouse team on a daily basisAssist management with workflow planning and task allocationOversee yard activities, including vehicle unloading and reloadingLiaise effectively with warehouse administration and management teamsMaintain productivity levels and ensure operational deadlines are achievedEnsure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all timesSupport container devanning and freight handling activitiesMonitor and improve warehouse efficienciesRequirementsTo be considered for this role, you should have:Previous experience within a warehouse and transport environmentExperience leading or supervising warehouse teamsStrong communication and organisational skillsA proactive and hands-on approach to workBasic knowledge of Health & Safety proceduresExperience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)A valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (up to 3 tonnes)Bendi and/or Reach Truck experienceFirst Aid training or refresher courses can be provided following successful appointment.About the OpportunityOur client operates a large-scale logistics and warehousing facility and is a long-established member of a leading UK pallet distribution network.
