ROLE: Junior EstimatorLOCATION: Chesterfield

We're looking for a Junior Estimator who will support our Custom Solar team in delivering high‑quality, accurate estimating services across our Power and Grid business unit.
Role Responsibilities:
-Support the Estimating team with administrative and project‑related tasks.
-Assist in preparing estimates for tender submissions using drawings, specifications, and site information.
-Help prepare Bills of Quantities and measured take‑offs.
-Liaise with project managers, procurement, commercial, and design teams.
-Research and analyse costs for materials, plant, and subcontractors.
-Obtain quotations from subcontractors for packages of work.
-Contribute to weekly commercial meetings.
-Conduct site visits with the wider commercial team where required.
-Ensure all work is completed in line with internal processes and governance.
Required Qualifications:Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
-Minimum 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
-Strong communication, numerical, and analytical skills.
-High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
-Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a supportive environment.
-Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
-Previous experience in a supporting role within an Estimating team.
