Summary

Yard Operative

📍 St Ives, Cambridgeshire

⏰ Full-Time, 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday (with occasional weekend work and overtime opportunities paid at enhance overtime rates)

💰 £28,089.10 per annum, rising to £30,940 per annum upon successful completion of probation

What You'll Be Doing

As a Yard Operative, you'll help prepare, maintain, and organise equipment ready for dispatch to events across the UK and beyond.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Sorting equipment and materials into components and storage locations

- Building and dismantling event kit ready for dispatch and return

- Cleaning, sanding, painting, and carrying out basic repairs

- Completing pick sheets, job sheets, and stock checks

- Helping maintain a safe, organised, and efficient yard environment

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people with a positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.

You'll ideally have:

- A strong eye for detail

- Good reliability and timekeeping

- Good written and spoken English

- The ability to undertake manual handling and physical tasks

- Confidence working outdoors in all weather conditions

- A Counterbalance FLT licence (desirable, but training can be provided)

- The ability to commute to our St Ives, Cambridgeshire site
