Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a young man with autism, in my late 20s, living in the Roath area of Cardiff. I’m looking for a friendly person to help me go out and have fun. I have two days a week of gardening at Vision 21 and one day at Cathays community Centre. I also do some voluntary work in a local charity shop.

PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking for a ‘fun PA’ to go on a range of trips with me, including things like going to the cinema, bowling, mini golf, theatre, amusement arcades, playing pool, restaurants, pub visits, escape rooms, museums etc. This would probably best suit someone of a similar age to me!

PLACE OF WORK

I live in the Roath area of Cardiff. Travel away from here will be required. A full driving licence for a manual vehicle is essential. Mileage and other expenses paid.

HOURS OF WORK

5 hours per fortnight

Availability to be discussed during the interview.

RATE OF PAY

£14.00 per hour.

ABOUT THE JOB

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
