This is an exciting opportunity to join a large and dynamic Department of Psychological Professions to provide neurorehabilitation services within Merton Community Neurorehabilitation Team (CNRT). The main office is based in Merton Civic Centre but the postholder will be required to travel to see patients across the whole Merton Borough.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist who has previous experience working in neurorehabilitation services and/or with a background as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join Merton Community Neurorehabilitation Team (MCNRT), which is part of St Georges' University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for providing neuropsychology input to adults with neurological conditions (involving their families/close others where applicable) under the supervision of qualified clinical neuropsychologists.
Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working with adults / older adults with common mental health and neurological problems and will have completed PWP training.
The post holder may be required to rotate between the different services in order to gain skills in all aspects of applied neuropsychology. Therefore the post holder must also be prepared to work at different sites within St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Central London Community Health South West Division.
The St George’s Department of Psychological Professions (DoPP) is well-established. You will be joining a lively team of over 70 clinical, neuro, and health psychologists, and psychology assistants, with ready access to specialist neuropsychology supervision. Many of our assistant psychologists successfully gain places on Clinical Psychology Doctorate courses.
