Location: Nuneaton
Salary: £45,000+ per year
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts:
• Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm
• Week 2: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm to 10:00pm

About the Role
Are you a skilled HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician seeking your next challenge in Nuneaton?
We are recruiting an experienced technician to join a busy, modern commercial vehicle workshop. This role offers excellent earning potential, regular overtime, and ongoing manufacturer training, providing a rewarding long-term career.
You will work on a diverse range of HGVs and trailers, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standards to ensure customer fleets remain safe, compliant, and operational.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete routine inspections, Planned Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), and preventative maintenance
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing in accordance with DVSA standards
• Assist with breakdown repairs when required
• Accurately complete job cards, service sheets, and workshop documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
• Work efficiently to maximise vehicle uptime and workshop productivity
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Full UK driving licence
Desirable
• Experience with diagnostics and electrical fault finding
• IRTEC accreditation
• HGV Class 1 licence
• Manufacturer or dealership experience
