The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving 24-hour veterinary hospital in Liverpool. This full-time position offers a varied caseload, combining consultations with hospital-based clinical work, making it ideal for a vet looking to develop both medical and surgical skills within a busy referral-standard environment.

The successful candidate will join a highly experienced and supportive clinical team, working alongside skilled veterinary nurses and a dedicated overnight team who provide exceptional out-of-hours patient care. The hospital benefits from advanced diagnostic facilities, including CT, ultrasound, endoscopy and comprehensive in-house laboratory equipment, allowing the team to deliver a consistently high standard of patient care.

The Role

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will:

• Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations, diagnostics and procedures.

• Create tailored treatment plans and provide clear, compassionate communication to clients.

• Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team to ensure seamless patient care and clinical handovers.

• Maintain the highest standards of clinical governance and regulatory compliance.

• Support and mentor colleagues, helping to foster a positive and progressive clinical culture.

The ideal candidate will have:

• MRCVS registration and the right to work in the UK (or be eligible for sponsorship).

• Experience delivering outstanding clinical care to patients and excellent service to clients.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Confidence working within a busy hospital environment.

• A collaborative approach with an interest in mentoring colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.

• A commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.
