Summary
Job Purpose:
As a Hygiene Technician, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of hygiene services across both the Foods and Rice sites, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly deep clean tasks, and helping maintain staff facilities such as the canteen, lockers, and toilets. You'll efficiently carry out assigned tasks and duties, remain flexible for the good of the business and the team, and contribute towards achieving the wider goals of the business.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of visual and microbiological hygiene, and pest control, are always maintained across all areas of the site.
• Assist with the delivery of programmed machinery deep clean shutdowns.
• Identify difficulties as and when they arise and communicate these to your Hygiene Team Leader.
• Follow all hygiene, food safety, quality, and Health & Safety procedures, along with company terms & conditions.
• Achieve a "right first time" clean, following set work instructions and safety protocols.
• Attend work on set shift days, in a timely manner, ensuring you are on the shop floor at the start of your shift.
• Work in a timely manner to maximise efficiency, completing additional tasks during quieter periods.
• Complete related documents and records accurately and on time.
• Undertake manual handling of goods up to 25kg.
• Operate cleaning equipment during deep cleaning tasks and machine wash-downs during scheduled shutdown periods.
• Clean and tidy external areas of the factory and office buildings.
• Handle chemicals in line with COSHH training and regulations.
• Comply with the Hygiene Cleaning Schedule.
• Comply with existing Cleaning Instruction Cards and SOPs.
• Undertake all aspects of hygiene within non-operational areas, including toilets, canteen, warehouse, yard, and external/internal silos.
• Carry out other duties that may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the role as defined.
