Summary
Allstaff Manufacturing Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Production Technician based with our manufacturing client in Whiteinch, Glasgow. This is a Full-time permanent position and salary will be based upon experience.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:00pm
This Product Technician will work as pivotal role within the design team of the business to ensuring product compliance with the required technical specification. While linking the required product solution and the “fine detail” to each aperture on the building. An eye for detail and an ability to develop a clear understanding of the customers’ requirements is key to success.
Projects will be primarily residential and will range in size from small scale single properties with an approximate project size from 5 homes to large scale multi storey, multi-phase developments with 500 homes.
Key Responsibilities
As the Product Technician, you will require to attend & contribute to design meetings consisting of consulting with clients, architects, contractors, to assist with technical support.
Leasing with Customers, Architects & Project Managers to ensure all installation and manufacturing details are understood.
Ensure the correct technical submissions and supporting data are issued.
Build & develop the product schedules in MS Excel that fully incorporate the product specifications and drawings to capture the client’s requirements to allow client sign-off.
Understand and integrate information provided by the structural engineer into the product schedule.
Producing manufacturing information & take off’s for production.
Producing take-offs for sub-contract manufacture of components.
Share your technical knowledge to reduce costs, delays, while ensuring the most effective Design Methods and Concepts. Awareness of Value Engineering to ensure contacts remain on budget.
