Summary

Salford Children’s Speech & Language Therapy Service is looking to recruit a creative and flexible Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of our Schools team. This post is suitable for a newly qualified SLT or a SLT with experience. You will be part of a friendly, experienced service who work closely with families and partner agencies to support children and young people’s speech, language and communication needs.

We have a well-established service providing a ‘balanced system’ across Salford delivering universal, targeted and specialist levels of support. This role will involve delivery of clinical interventions in school settings,  and supporting and delivering our training offer to settings, parents/carers, and colleagues. The post holder will receive supervision, support and mentoring from a range of experienced SLTs across the service.  

Due to the nature of the post you will need to be able to travel to different sites as required by the service.

•    To deliver universal, targeted and specialist clinical work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy Schools Team. 

•    To assess and treat own caseload of patients maintaining own records as an autonomous practitioner. 

•    To deliver training and contribute to the development of the children’s workforce.
