Your Role

• Lead clinical care for PICU, managing 9 beds

• Provide senior medical leadership & supervision to resident doctors and trainees

• Engage inservice development,business planning, andacademic programmes

• Maintain compliance withGMC registration,Mental Health Act Section 12(2)approval, and professional codes

Job Plan:

8 PAs(6 DCC and 2 SPA) dedicated to inpatient work

Main Responsibilities

• Manage, appraise, and provide clinical supervision to junior medical staff

• Ensure compliance with New DealandWorking Time Directivefor junior doctors

• Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care

• Accurately record and submit clinical activity data

• Participate in service and business planningfor the locality and wider mental health service

• Engage in annual consultant appraisal and job plan review

• Attend and contribute to the Trust’s academic programme and CPD activities

• Maintain GMC registration,Section 12(2) approval, and professional standards

• Collaborate with managers and colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery

• Support financial planning and management within the service

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based senior medical care in acute and locked rehabilitation settings

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centred care

• Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and carers
