Vehicle Technician - Newport, South Wales

We are working with a reputable independent automotive service centre in Newport, South Wales, seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional looking to develop their career within a well-established business servicing the Newport region for over 13 years.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician :

- Perform fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of premium vehicles

- Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and communicate findings to the Business Directors

- Ensure all safety and work quality procedures are adhered to in accordance with health and safety regulations

- Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy workshop environment

- Support the team in meeting workload targets and maintaining customer satisfaction

- Report on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance as required

- Carry out MOT testing (if holding a valid Class MOT testing licence), although this is non-essential

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician :

- IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

- Own comprehensive set of tools

- Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points

- Motivated, committed, and able to work effectively within a team

- Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced workshop

- Previous experience working with premium or general vehicle servicing is highly desirable

- Candidates holding a valid Class MOT testing licence will have an advantage, though it is not mandatory
