Contract: Professional Services, Production & Technology

Location: London, CR0 1TY

Hours: Day shifts only on a 4 on / 4 off pattern, 07:00 - 19:00

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a Building Services Engineer to support the maintenance operation on site, working closely with the Technical Services Team Leader who will guide and direct daily duties.

​You will play a key role in delivering general building maintenance across Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric disciplines within a small, multi-disciplinary team.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can contribute to a ‘Best in Class’ approach to Engineering and Fabric services, including supplier-led services.

​This role follows the Pitman shift pattern, including nights, days, bank holidays and weekends, and requires a proactive approach to both planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide general building maintenance across mechanical, electrical and fabric disciplines

Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as instructed by the MTL/FM

Complete reactive maintenance tasks including H&S repairs, floods, power losses, vandalism, lighting and fabric repairs

Support the resolution of maintenance issues raised by Site Management

Liaise with and assist contractors, and oversee their work where required by FM/SFM

Respond to site emergencies as requested by Site Management

Carry out mothballing functions for vacated shop units

Maintain accurate records and ensure a clean, safe working environment, including the maintenance workshop

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience working within the Facilities Management (FM) sector

Experience working independently and within a small team

Proven experience completing PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems

Strong understanding of plumbing systems

NVQ Level 2 or higher in an M&E qualification (preferably Mechanical)

IPAF and/or PASMA certification

Previous experience in building maintenance within a service industry

Experience working in a busy, demand-led environment

Familiarity with the Concept CAFM system
