We are currently looking to appoint a middle grade / trust doctor to join our team in the department of Breast Surgery at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. This post is to commence as soon as possible and will run for a period of 6 months with the opportunity for it to be extended. We will consider applications from candidates who are aiming for a specialist training number who would like more experience at this grade before national applicaton and also from candidates who are approaching / completed specilaist training either in the UK or overseas who wish to have further exposure to complex breast surgical proceedures and treatment planning in a large, busy, tertiary referral centre in the heart of London. Previous experience in breast surgery is required (to include one stop and basic treatment planning).
At Barts Health, we provide a comprehensive range of services to patients with breast problems, both benign and malignant. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with a vibrant and forward looking team to provide day to day care to the diverse population of North Central and East London. There are also exciting opportunities to be involved in several ‘patient experience initiatives’ and more formal audit and research projects.
There will be ample opportunity to further clinical and operative skills through exposure to a range of cases including complex reconstruction surgery and salvage surgery.
