IT Security Manager (Hybrid / Home-Based with Travel)

£65,000 – £75,000 + Benefits | Permanent
Home-based role with travel to sites as required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll protect our IT infrastructure and lead security improvements across operations, risk
management and compliance. This hands-on leadership role combines strategic thinking with technical delivery.
Leadership & Strategy:
* Lead, develop and mentor the Information Security team
* Act as escalation point for security incidents and issues
* Own and maintain the IT risk register
* Promote strong security culture and awareness across the business
Technical Delivery:
* Design and configure security across M365, Azure, identity, endpoints and networks
* Lead incident response, investigations and remediation activities
* Manage and monitor firewall and perimeter security infrastructure
* Support M&A activity including security due diligence and integration
Compliance & Reporting:
* Drive compliance with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus
* Develop and report on security KPIs and performance metrics
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential Experience:
* Strong experience with Microsoft 365 security, Azure and identity platforms
* Hands-on experience with security tooling and remediation activities
* Proven experience managing vulnerability posture and risk
* Experience leading or managing a security or IT team
* Strong understanding of ISO27001, GDPR and Cyber Essentials
* Industry-recognised security certifications
Key Skills:
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
* Strong leadership and team development skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
* Proactive, solutions-focused approach to security challenges
* Knowledge of ITIL practices (desirable)
