JOB TITLE:Imaging Patient Pathway Co-ordinator

BASE:  Glenfield Hospital

HOURS:37.5

REPORTS TO:Administration Team Leader

ACCOUNTABLE TO:Service Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Pathway Co-ordinator working within Imaging Services at UHL.

We are looking for a capable and adaptable individual to join our friendly team in this interesting and varied role.  You will be responsible for co-ordinating the patient pathway, booking radiology appointments and ensuring that Referral to Treatment Pathways are managed appropriately.

You will be a well-organised, self-motivated individual with good communication skills, who enjoys working as part of a team.

The Imaging Services covers a wide variety of clinical departments; sub-specialities who focus on specific referring specialisms e.g. Musculoskeletal, Paediatric, Vascular, Neurology, Head and Neck, Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine, Accident and Emergency, Oncology, Genitourinary and General Surgery.  Each of these sub-specialties covers a wide range of imaging modalities from Fluoroscopy and Plain film Radiography to Ultrasound, CT, and MRI.

University Hospitals of Leicester have fantastic opportunities for ambitious individuals to join one of the biggest and busiest NHS Trusts in the country. Serving the one million residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, we have opportunities to work with experienced staff and develop your future career.

UHL has one of the largest Imaging departments in the NHS; a medical speciality that encapsulates a wide variety of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology practices capable of diagnosis and treatment of a large array of conditions.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:

• high-quality care for all,

• being a great place to work,

• partnerships for impact, and

• research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

• we are compassionate,

• we are proud,

• we are inclusive, and

• we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
