Summary
Quantity Surveyor
We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a five‑project portfolio across residential, education, and public‑realm schemes which includes refurbishments and new builds. Our Support office is in Bromley, Kent where you’d be working alongside a well-established and knowledgeable team. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and the chance to influence cost strategy across multiple live sites.
· Salary – 55k to 70k depending on experience
· Hours – 9.5.30pm
· Based at our Support Office in Bromley, Kent with a requirement to travel to sites.
Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor role
· Manage cost planning, forecasting, and reporting across all five projects
· Lead procurement, tender analysis, and subcontractor negotiation
· Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
· Work closely with project managers to maintain programme and budget alignment
· Provide commercial risk assessments and mitigation strategies
· Ensure compliance with contract conditions (JCT)
About you:
· Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or fit‑out
· Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
· Reporting and negotiation skills
· Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards and industry regulations.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
· MRICS (desirable but not essential)
· Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
