HGV Class 1 Driver Pay Rate: £17 per hour Job Type: Temporary Benefits: - Paid every Wednesday - Night Out AllowanceWe are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver in Highbridge for a temporary position within the Driving industry. This role is specifically for Days shift type and requires the skill of Tramper. Key Responsibilities: - Long-Distance Haulage: Operate Class 1 vehicles for long-distance deliveries and collections across the UK.- Tramping Operations: Comfortably live and work away from home in the vehicle cab for 4 or more nights per week.- Vehicle Care: Act as the dedicated custodian of your assigned modern fleet vehicle, keeping the cab clean and roadworthy. - Securing Loads: Properly strap, secure, and monitor various load types- Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with EU Drivers' Hours, working time directives, and tachograph regulations.- Vehicle Checks: Complete rigorous pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections, logging defects immediately.What We Are Looking For: - Licence: A valid UK HGV Class 1 driving licence, valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card- Clean Record: Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence (Strictly no DR, DD, or IN endorsement codes for insurance purposes).- Skills: Excellent time management, route planning skills, and a self-motivated attitude to work independently.
