Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a well-established independent garage and body repair centre situated on the outskirts of Northampton.

This is an excellent Vehicle Technician opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals looking to work in a friendly, stable environment where no two days are the same. Our client is committed to providing high-quality service across a broad range of vehicles, including prestige and specialist models.

- Up to £40,000 basic salary depending on experience

- Monday to Friday working hours (8:00am – 5:00pm)

- Occasional Saturday overtime paid at time and a half

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs

- Conducting repairs on brakes, clutches, suspension, and timing components

- Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and assisting with inspections

- Diagnosing faults using workshop equipment as a Vehicle Technician

- Supporting occasional bodywork and structural repair tasks within the workshop

- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframes

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, or extensive hands-on experience

- Minimum of 2–3 years of workshop experience

- Confident in routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and fault diagnosis

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Reliable, practical, and customer-focused approach

- MOT licence is desirable but not essential
